How Can Retailers prepare for Showrooming?

Have you been showrooming lately?  If you’ve ever shopped online, chances are you’ve checked out a product in store, then gone home and ordered it online, probably at a cheaper price.  That’s the phenomenon analysts are calling Showrooming – the act of using someone else’s retail outlet as a showroom for your online shopping. With the proliferation of smartphones and price-checking apps, it’s now even easier to check prices or even place an order while actually standing in a competitor’s retail outlet.
